Delaying further study, her next trip involved travelling from South America up through Mexico and the USA to Canada, where she spent a year living in Banff in the stunning Canadian Rockies. Coming back home, she bought a Kombi van and spent a year travelling around Australia, proudly getting to know her own country in depth before starting her career in travel and has never looked back.

The absolute joy Marcie gets when planning unforgettable experiences for her clients is evident when you talk to her. "I feel privileged to be trusted with my clients' dreams, and love turning these into something special and real for them, making lifelong memories". Whilst she can talk for days about the places she has seen, she loves researching new destinations with clients for unique pockets of the world. "No two holidays are ever the same, this is what is so exciting. It's all about really listening to my clients, many who I am happy to now call close friends".

Marcie has relished sharing her love of travel with her three boys, with a recent expedition cruise around the Fijian Islands being one of her favourite family trips so far. "Watching the boys playing volleyball and soccer with the local Fijian kids during island visits was an absolute delight. They adored immersing themselves in the culture, trying new things and making new friends - this is exactly what travel is all about".

With 53 countries visited so far in her travel journeys, some of her favourites include Nepal, Norway, India, Mexico, Cambodia and Peru. "An absolute highlight was expedition cruising to Antarctica - I remember sitting on deck at 2am watching a never-ending sunset shine golden on the untouched surrounds and just thinking I will never forget this moment". She also notes her first trip to Africa is hard to beat. "Canoeing down the Zambezi River in still silence, with elephants coming to drink at the river banks and hippos popping their heads up nearby was both exhilarating and grounding in the same instance. Africa is a feast for all the senses".

Known not just for her first-hand experience across many travel styles - ocean cruising, river cruising, expedition travel, small group touring, family travel and fully independent travel - but also for her keen eye for detail and ability to establish personal relationships both with clients and suppliers, Marcie is thrilled to spend her time doing what she truly loves.
