Few people get the chance to go on a journey to Antarctica. Even fewer, witness Humpback and Minke Whales swimming close to their expedition boat. But the more you get to know Tony, the more you realise, no country is off topic, and no travel aspiration is too lofty.

In fact, you might go as far to say, this travel manager specialises in complex itineraries. A client recently approached Tony requesting a long holiday through Europe, and Tony was able to negotiate last minute hotel bookings, premium tours, and secure the necessary visa requirements. "Tony demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, and on-the-ground knowledge of multiple cities," client, Christopher, said. "The pre-travel administrative process was seamless and the travel experience itself was enhanced markedly thanks to Tony's recommendations."

It’s easy to suggest a mind-blowing itinerary with a wealth of personal travel experience under your belt. Tony has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Japan, Darwin and Far North Queensland.

He is also an expert on Asia, having spent five years travelling his way through Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, China and Vietnam. He spent some time working in Osaka, Japan and it’s a good thing he stopped there for a while, as it’s where he met his now wife!

If you’re after a holiday idea swathed with mystery and magic, ask Tony about Bhutan – the land of happiness. He rates this as one of his most memorable travel destinations, and who would blame him, given its dramatic landscapes and mountain-high monasteries. He says he'll also never forget trekking the Indian Himalayas and camping overnight near the Gangotri Glacier – a primary source of the Ganges.

Over the course of his career, Tony has developed a special interest in planning romantic honeymoons, fun family escapes, multi-generational excursions and cruise holidays. But he’s all ears to what you have in mind!

What is your number one travel tip?

I tell my clients to expect the unexpected. Things might not always go as planned, so stay flexible, have backup plans, and be ready to adapt for a smoother trip.

What are your favourite destinations and why?

Anywhere in Latin/Central America - I love the people, culture, language and food. Thailand is great for the people, food and beaches too.

How do you go above and beyond for your clients?

I like to dot the I's and cross the T's, reconfirming details in advance for my clients. I also like to surprise them with thoughtful gifts - it’s the little things that truly make a difference.

Where is still on your bucket list?

Central and Western Africa for its wildlife and culture, the Maldives for paradise beaches, Ecuador for the Galápagos, Colombia for adventure, and North Korea for a unique, off-the-beaten-path experience.
