Bryan graduated from university with a double degree in Law and Arts but it was his passion for languages which really started to lead him on his most successful career path. He departed for Germany at a young age to pursue a unique Youth Exchange Program, during which, he studied German - and to this day, he is still fluent.
Whilst residing in Europe he spent two years travelling and studying a diverse range of European countries. It was a rich experience which set him apart in the travel industry. This background, combined with high level of customer service has seen him win many industry awards.
Bryan has been excelling as a Travel Manager for more than 25 years now and over that time he has come to develop a love for putting together multi-faceted, challenging itineraries. “I enjoy pulling together all the aspects of a complex trip; coordinating the transport, booking the accommodation, and sourcing the touring experiences,” he says. “My focus is maximising the time available for the client and bringing out the essence of a particular destination.”
Bryan has many a travel tale to tell and if you have the time, you’ll want to take a seat at his beautiful office and sip on a coffee while he shares with you some of his most colourful experiences. Like the time he visited Botswana and made his way from luxury lodge to luxury lodge via a small aircraft and simple, dirt landing strips. He says he will never forget floating down the Zambezi river in a small boat, alongside families of hippos - and seeing every type of native African animal you could hope for on the game drives.
Bryan can also tell you about the surreal time he flew from Singapore to Bhutan, passing close by Mt Everest. “I really appreciated the skill of that pilot, being able to navigate of the most difficult landings on earth, 2250 metres above sea level,” says Bryan. “Bhutan is like nowhere else; its people have lived in isolation for centuries and they still resist globalisation and materialism. You’ve got to love a land which defines its success in terms of ‘Gross Domestic Happiness’.”
