Scenic’s ultra-luxurious Discovery Yachts, Scenic Eclipse and Scenic Eclipse II combine the sleek sophistication of a superyacht with industry-leading technology. Purpose built for polar regions, both include custom-built stabilisers that are 50 per cent larger than other ships, a strengthened hull (Polar Class 6), forward bow thrusters and an electronic propulsion system. Along with a custom-built submarine and two Airbus helicopters on each yacht, Scenic Eclipse continues to set the benchmark in ultra-luxury cruising.

The Discovery Yacht difference

We love that there is no roughing it on the Discovery Yachts, with 114 spacious suites across five decks ranging from 32sqm up to 195sqm. Each suite features a private veranda and floor-to-ceiling windows, a king-size Scenic Slumber Bed, pillow menu and luxury amenities including a Dyson hairdryer and Illy coffee machine.

At your service

The icing on the cake is a butler, who will ensure everything is taken care of - from bringing your morning coffee, taking your laundry, re-stocking your included mini-bar or delivering cocktails on your veranda. Another plus is that tipping is included in your fare.

Delicious dining

For a taste of true luxury, there are up to 10 world-class dining experiences, nine bars and lounges. You would need to be on board for almost two months to try every available dish. It’s a tempting challenge! You have to try the Night Market @ Koko’s with dishes from Asia, India and the Middle East, and Lumiere for contemporary French fare. After dinner, enjoy live music and 100+ whiskeys at the Scenic Lounge.

Allow pampering time at Senses Spa including the thermal lounges, men and women’s saunas, steam rooms and relaxation lounges. Or stay active by locking in time at the gym, doing yoga or stretching out at the Pilates studio.

The Antarctica discovery excursions are conducted by the experts in the Discovery Team including glaciologists, marine biologists, archaeologists and geologists who share their passion and knowledge of this magnificent region. For an extra cost, soar above some of the world’s most spectacular scenery on one of two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters, or discover the deep impact of diving 200m in a Scenic Neptune submarine.
