Itinerary


On arrival a warm welcome at Casablanca Mohammed V airport, the gateway to the Kingdom of Morocco. You will be met by our representative and transfer to the hotel.
Casablanca may be seen as one of the most misunderstood cities in Morocco. As the largest city in Morocco, it is the cultural capital and the country's economic heartbeat. Discover the port city, the countrys cosmopolitan and commercial heart city. Here you can choose different ways to discover the rich cultural heritage of Casablanca. Overnight in Casablanca. (Your driver and guide will remain at your disposal throughout the entire trip).

This morning begin the day in exploration of the port city of Casablanca where you will visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque, amongst the largest in the world and can house up to 25,000 worshippers. The mosques minaret is the tallest religious structure in the world. Having employed over 10,000 of the Kingdoms artists and craftsmen to build, today the Hassan II Mosque is the largest mosque in Morocco with the tallest minaret in the world and a stunning display of Moroccan-Andalusian architecture. Continue with a visit to the Art Deco District, which was built early in the last century and showcases a combination of cultures. Particularly notice the towering French-inspired apartments and office buildings with distinctly Moroccan happenings on the ground level small hanoots (corner stores), traditional hammams and fresh fruits and flower carts making their way through town.
Then, travel through the scenic Rif Mountains toward Moroccos iconic Blue City, Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure, taking time to relax and settle in.
Chefchaouen (known as the blue city) was founded in 1471 by Moorish exiles from Spain led by Moulay Ali Ben Mouss. Where the streets and most of the buildings in the medina (old town) are painted a brilliant sky blue. View the medina lined with cafs filled with locals and tourists alike, mingling easily and absorbing the unique atmosphere of Morocco's Blue City.

Today discover beneath the blue and what makes this city so alluring, tour of the Medina, touring its winding alleyways, cobbled plazas and unique doorways. Visit the 18th century kasbah, with its tower, garden and museum. Lunch at a local restaurant (direct payment) and then take the rest of the day to explore on your own.

For those history buffs todays journey will be amazing. Journey to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is home to Moroccos largest and most well-preserved and iconic Roman ruins, with grand arches, basilicas and mosaic floors of former family dwellings. Continue to Meknes with a stop for lunch at a vineyard. In Meknes, also a UNESCO World Heritage site, marvel at the monumental Bab Mansour gateway, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail plus the Bab Berdieyinne Mosque, where little has changed since its founding in the 11th century. Continue to Fes, the cultural capital of Morocco.
Fez is the oldest of the Imperial Cities, and well known for its spiritual and educational contribution to the Moroccan culture. It is regarded by many as the cultural heart of Morocco. Its Souks are considered among the most authentic in Africa, where craftsmen still labour in the age-old oriental tradition; they have been recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Sights worth seeing include: the Quaraouine Mosque; the Medersas; Arrarine and Bouanania and the Nejjarine Fountain.

Today enjoy a guided tour of the citys monuments including the Palace Gates, formerly the main residence of the sultan, the Royal Palace of Fez (Fez Dar el-Makhzen) is still used by the King of Morocco when he is in the city of Fez. Surrounded by high walls, it spans an area of 195 acres (80 hectares). Enter through the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud) and explore highlights like the House of Maimonides, the 14th-century Dar al-Magana clock, and the stunning Madrassa Bou Inania. Visit a former caravansary turned wood museum, the sacred shrine of Moulay Idriss II, and the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the worlds oldest. See the famous Chouara tanneries. In the afternoon explore Fez el-Bali (Old Fes), the cultural heart of Morocco. Stroll the old quarter, with its 9,000 narrow lanes, alleys and souks, on a market visit of exceeding authenticity. Watching local craftsmen in action working with bronze and pottery makes for an engaging artisan visit as well. Discovering why Fes is known as Moroccos capital of handicrafts.

Head out early this morning on a scenic drive to the Sahara Desert, during which youll pass through the Middle Atlas Mountains, Ifrane, the Cedar Forest, and the Ziz Valley. With the landscapes changing every couple of hours, youll see the geographical diversity that spans the country. As you approach Merzouga, the landscape gradually shifts to vast desert terrain, culminating in the majestic Erg Chebbi dunesgolden sand formations that stretch to the horizon, offering a truly unforgettable Sahara experience. Upon your arrival to the desert, you will have a sunset camel ride and tented dinner with live tribal music and stargazing.

Take time to walk along the gorge or enjoy a local lunch before continuing to the picturesque Dades Valley, known for its winding roads, striking rock formations, and lush oasis dotted with kasbahs. Depart from the scenic Dades Valley, winding through the Valley of the Roses and past dramatic landscapes toward the UNESCO-listed Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village of earthen clay that has starred in many films. After exploring its ancient alleys and panoramic views, continue your journey across the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi nTichka Passthe highest road pass in Moroccooffering breathtaking vistas and mountain villages. Arrive in Marrakech, where centuries-old tradition meets vibrant city life. Upon your arrival in the Ochre City, check in at your property. In the evening, make your way to the emblematic Jemaa Lefna square, which comes to life at night with an array of vendors, performers, and entertainers.
Marrakech the mightiest kings fought for it, a line of dynasties inherited it, sages, craftsmen, architects, painters and sculptors of all ages built magnificent palaces, mosques, gardens and Koranic schools. Marrakech, the imperial city which, at the dawn of its history, gave Morocco its name. The great square of Djemaa El Fna is the heart of the city with its merchants, musicians, jugglers, acrobats and storytellers. From here radiate the labyrinth of streets with sunshades and fountains to protect the myriad of craftsmen and sellers of merchandise. Here, too is the Bahia Palace with its Andalucian garden, and the arts museum in the Dar Si Said Palace.
