Despite its modest size, this gem of a Mediterranean island overflows with temples, forts, palaces and churches, each a chapter in the islands rich and fascinating history. Wander through Valletta, a city so steeped in history that it has earned UNESCO World Heritage status, where every stone whispers tales from the Megalithic era to the grandeur of the Knights of St John. Sail by private yacht to Maltas tiny sister island, Gozo, where secluded coves invite exploration, the air perfumed with the scent of wild thyme.

Dive into Maltas rich history, beginning in Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage capital, where your guide reveals the stories behind St Johns Co-Cathedral, Casa Rocca Piccola, and other Baroque treasures. Travel back to prehistoric times at the Haar Qim and Mnajdra temples, renowned for their megalithic architecture and solar alignments, and explore the subterranean Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, an ancient sanctuary and burial site. Finally, set sail on a private yacht along Maltas stunning coastline, discovering secluded bays, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and visiting the breathtaking Blue Lagoon in Comino while enjoying Mediterranean cuisine.

Itinerary

Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a vivid journey through time, where every corner reveals layers of history. From the grandeur of St Johns Co-Cathedral, with its Caravaggio masterpieces and marble tombs of the Knights, to the narrow streets echoing the age of the Crusades, the city is a living museum. Explore Fort St Angelo in the nearby Three Cities, where the echoes of Maltas role as a Mediterranean stronghold still resonate against the honey-colored limestone walls.

Step into Valletta, the worlds only capital city named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in its entirety. With your guide, navigate streets shaped by the Knights Hospitallers, including an open-air museum of fortifications, Baroque palaces and ornate churches. Pause at St Johns Co-Cathedral to admire Caravaggios works, intricate marble floors and the tombs of Maltas Grand Masters. Continue to Casa Rocca Piccola, where a rare garden and lavish interiors offer a window into noble Maltese life.

Uncover Malta's prehistoric past at the Hypogeum, a subterranean necropolis carved around 3,500 BC. Move on to the Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Temples, megalithic structures perched above the sea and precisely aligned with the sun. After lunch at a local spot serving traditional Maltese fare, travel to Zurrieq for a boat ride through the Blue Grotto, where sunlight transforms the caves into a shifting canvas of color. End the day in the Three Cities, where you can wander Birgus fortified lanes, explore Fort St. Angelo and look out over the Grand Harbour from Sengleas Gardjola Gardens. If time allows, visit the Inquisitors Palace or Maritime Museum before a coffee at the Super Yacht Marina.

Set out along Maltas coastline aboard a private yacht, tracing secluded bays and hidden coves rarely seen from shore. Your skipper guides you to quiet stretches of water ideal for snorkeling, where clear seas reveal vibrant marine life below. Drift toward Cominos Blue Lagoon, where the water glows with impossible color, pausing to savor Mediterranean dishes on deck.
