My number one travel tip is to leave room for the unexpected.

It's tempting to fill every day with sightseeing and activities, but some of the most memorable travel moments happen when you slow down. It might be stumbling across a local café, watching the sunset from a quiet beach, chatting with a local, or taking a detour that wasn't in the itinerary.

Planning is incredibly important, but I always encourage travellers to balance the must-see experiences with free time to explore at their own pace. Those unplanned moments often become the stories people talk about long after they've returned home.

Travel isn't just about seeing new places — it's about experiencing them.

My favourite luxury hotel is the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Set on the shores of the iconic turquoise lake and surrounded by the Canadian Rockies, it's one of those rare places where the destination is just as spectacular as the hotel itself. Waking up to breathtaking views each morning feels almost surreal, and no matter the season, there is always something incredible to experience — from canoeing on the lake in summer to skating, snowshoeing, and horse-drawn sleigh rides in winter.

What I love most is that it perfectly combines luxury with adventure. Guests can enjoy world-class dining and exceptional service while stepping straight into one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the world. It's a place that truly immerses you in its surroundings, creating an experience that's every bit as memorable as the accommodation itself.

Going above and beyond for my clients starts with genuinely getting to know them. Every traveller is different, so I take the time to understand what excites them, what they're nervous about, and what would make their holiday truly memorable. That allows me to create experiences that feel personal rather than simply ticking boxes.

I believe the little details are what transform a great holiday into an unforgettable one. Choosing a favourite destination is incredibly difficult, but if I had to narrow it down, my top three would be ocean cruising, the USA, and the Caribbean.

What I love most is that no two trips are ever the same. An ocean cruise allows you to wake up somewhere new each day, with endless opportunities to discover different cultures, landscapes and experiences. The USA is incredibly diverse, from iconic cities and national parks to world-class theme parks and unforgettable road trips. The Caribbean, on the other hand, offers a completely different pace of travel, with its vibrant culture, crystal-clear waters and relaxed island lifestyle.

These are destinations I could return to time and time again because there is always something new to explore. Every visit uncovers a hidden gem, a unique experience or a different perspective, reminding me that travel is about so much more than the places you visit — it’s about the memories you create and the stories you bring home.
