But she’s not one to be content to simply flop and drop on a beach – at least not for all of her holidays.
“Seeing humpback whales in the wild in Antarctica almost brought tears to my eyes – a dream come true. The experience was only topped by sea kayaking among the icy landscape, which was one of the most incredible activities I have ever done in my life.”
Julie will also never forget how she felt when she reached the summit of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah Malaysia.
“I was truly elated. I don’t think I’ve ever been so proud of myself.”

What is the most amazing experience you have created for a client?
I managed to put together a round-the-world trip by sea and rail for a client who has an intense fear of flying. It’s the kind of trip that not only fulfilled my clients' dreams, but also allowed me to show my passion and skill in curating a truly unique and personalised travel experience.
What is your number one travel tip?
I always recommend that you keep a spare change of clothes, including bathers, in your hand luggage - and roll your clothes when packing.
What are your favourite destinations and why?
Italy’s history, iconic cities, world-class art, and cuisine make it a captivating destination, while South America’s diverse landscapes provide endless opportunities for exploring. Tasmania, with its rugged wilderness and wildlife, is the perfect place for peace and adventure in equal measure.
How do you go above and beyond for your clients?
I always include chocolate-dipped strawberries as a personal gift for my cruise clients and make the "bon voyage" extra special by including a glass of bubbles that they can enjoy while going through their presentation folder that I have prepared for their trip.
