High rollers will always have a home in Las Vegas – and that home is often in luxurious suites high above The Strip. This opulent accommodation comes with jaw-dropping views, designer touches, exclusivity and special attention from an army of concierges, butlers and limousine drivers. They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but these 'sinful' suites are worth bragging about.
Sky Villa, The Palms Casino Resort
The sky is no limit at the 835-square-metre, two-storey Sky Villa at The Palms Casino Resort. After arriving in a personal glass elevator, take a swim in the glass-enclosed swimming pool, which is cantilevered over the glittering lights of Sin City. Or perhaps turn lazy circles on the round, rotating bed; soak in the in-room tub; warm up by the two-way fireplace – or turn up the heat in the eight-person sauna. Enjoy a massage in the dedicated massage room, or see if the butler can bring some caviar. The suite caters for up to 12 in two master and two salon suites, with a living room, dining room, and 5.5 bathrooms.
The Palms rates honourable mentions for a raft of other themed suites, including the Real World Suite (home to the cast of MTV’s Real World Las Vegas), the retro Kingpin Suite, with its own bowling alley; the Hardwood Suite, with its own basketball court; and the Hot Pink Suite, which would suit any aspiring Barbie doll.
Nobu Villa, Caesar’s Palace
For the refined party of travellers, look no further than The Nobu Villa at Caesar’s Palace. Designed by award-winning architect David Rockwell, the 950-square-metre rooftop villa has Japanese-inspired elements, custom music and cuisine by chefs from the celebrated Nobu restaurant.
Wander through the Zen garden (there’s a private entrance from the master bedroom), mix up a cocktail at the fully stocked bar, enjoy a feast from the barbecue pit, or gaze at the outdoor fire and water feature. Caesar’s Palace is also noted for its Marcus Aurelius Villa, an 880-square-metre Spanish extravaganza, with an exotic fish tank, grand piano, media room and more.
Sky Suites, Aria Resort & Casino Las Vegas
A little more modest in size, but no less luxurious, are the Sky Suites at Aria, with floor-to-ceiling windows, custom-designed furnishings and top-class amenities. The two-storey Sky Villa comes complete with a golden staircase and dramatic views of Vegas. Hi-tech touches like the in-room tablet allow you to control lighting and curtains, as well as arrange dining and spa services. The 230-square-metre, two-bedroom villa has a high line on exclusivity, with its own butler, private access to the Sky Pool, personalised preferences and priority access to the Spa & Salon. The 190-square-metre Penthouse Suite is not too shabby, either.
Presidential Suite, Bellagio
The opulent Presidential Suite at the Bellagio – the casino famed for its fountains – offers an indulgent Las Vegas experience. To access this suite, you must cross a suspended walkway over a pool of reflection to a two-bedroom haven with its own conference room, solarium, indoor garden and, yes, fountain, plus a fireplace and bar. Relax in the Italian marble couples’ baths with mother-of-pearl inlays, or wash your worries away in the rainforest Swiss steam shower.
The suite is serviced by a butler (available 24 hours), and guests are entitled to VIP seating at shows and restaurants and private registration in the exclusive Chairman’s Lounge. Oh, and the 90-square-metre Entourage Suites are just down the hall for your personal staff. Similarly impressive is the luxurious Chairman’s Suite.
Mandarin Suite, Mandarin Oriental
The star of this suite is the main bathroom, with its sunken bathtub that overlooks the city (just add Champagne). The two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite is decorated in Art Deco style, with Oriental touches such as black lacquer table tops and dark wood floors.
It features a living room with cocktail bar, a study, and a dining area that seats up to eight. The master bedroom features floor-to-ceiling views over The Strip, and there is also a personal fitness area. Similar suites include the Emperor Suite, which has a grand piano; and the Taipan Suite.
