For example, he always recommends his clients upgrade to Celebrity Cruises’ premium drinks package before departure, “at only US$10 per person per day it represents excellent value as it includes speciality cocktails, upgraded beverages, premium coffee and bottled water”.
His favourite cruise destinations are the Greek Islands and Croatia, which offer breathtaking scenery and amazing culture. Adam says that Seabourn’s luxury small ships are a great way to explore the area as they dock in the heart of cities. “Sipping a glass of wine on deck while looking at Dubrovnik in Montenegro is one of the unique experiences only a small ship cruise can provide”.
While cruise holidays might be his specialty, Adam is equally skilled at planning amazing land-based holidays. His many years of planning travel for clients combined with more than 30 countries he has visited himself, means he has first-hand advice to offer that ensures his clients’ holidays are the best they can be.
He recalls a particularly memorable Africa safari holiday he once put together for a client. My clients wanted an immersive experience in the heart of the Serengeti and came away fulfilling a lifetime dream, seeing all the Big 5 across three parks.
Adam’s own favourite travel memory was also in Africa, where seeing the local wildlife in their natural habitat was a highlight for him too!

What is the most amazing experience you have created for a client?
There were clients from the UK that I helped return home during COVID that have become amazing customers. Later on, I designed a six-week South Pacific itinerary for them through Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia, and received a beautiful thank you for making it their trip-of-a-lifetime!
What are your favourite destinations and why?
I have too many favourites! The South Pacific islands have the perfect weather, culture and lifestyle. Both Indonesia and Thailand are perfect for a resort-style vacation. It all depends what kind of trip you have in mind.
How do you go above and beyond for your clients?
For me, it comes down to understanding why a customer wants to travel to a certain destination or use a particular cruise company. Asking questions to make the trip personal and memorable is of utmost importance.
Where is still on your bucket list?
Just off the top of my head, I'd love to travel to the Arctic, Scandinavia, the Baltics, Ireland and South Africa. Each of these destinations is unique and exciting in its own right!
