Jaime has been designing journeys for her clients for more than 25 years, so it's little wonder she has first-hand advice to offer for almost any kind of trip - from romantic honeymoons in Greece to luxury rail adventures through Europe and Canada, ski holidays in Japan and European river cruises. "Creating lifelong memories for my clients is the most rewarding part," she says.
Her number one piece of advice is a simple one: invest in experiences rather than things. "The memories you create while travelling will stay with you long after you've returned home," she explains - a philosophy that runs through the way she plans, taking the time to truly understand each client before tailoring every detail of the journey to suit them.
Europe is her favourite part of the world, drawn to its history, heritage and cultural connections, though she's equally happy on an island escape when it's time to rest and recharge, and New Zealand holds a special place as where she spends quality time with family. Having travelled to 20 countries herself, Jaime knows the difference genuine first-hand knowledge makes when she's recommending where to go and how to do it well.
One journey she still treasures was a stay in a luxury Tuscan villa surrounded by rolling vineyards. "Exploring historic villages, discovering local markets, and indulging in exceptional food and wine offered the perfect balance of authentic experiences and relaxed luxury," she recalls - and it's that same balance she looks for when recommending where clients should stay. Rather than championing one particular hotel, Jaime is drawn to properties that reflect the destination itself, whether it's a Tuscan estate, a beachfront island retreat or an elegant European hotel. Europe is my favourite destination because of its incredible history, heritage and cultural connections. I also love island escapes for rest and relaxation, while New Zealand is especially meaningful to me as it's where I can spend quality time with family.
Where or what is still on your travel bucket list?
My bucket list is constantly evolving, but Switzerland, Amsterdam, Croatia and Canada are at the top. I love destinations that offer a mix of history, culture, breathtaking scenery and authentic local experiences.
