An unquenchable passion for travel and people underpins every journey that experienced travel planner Melissa Regan devises for her clients.  

Melissa’s passion was ignited at 21 when an opportunity to work on Bedarra Island arose and she gave up a burgeoning career in real estate for island life. Eighteen months on the prestigious resort island saw Melissa connecting with hundreds of international guests and learning that personalisation is the key to a perfect holiday.

“Bedarra was such an exclusive and elite destination meaning guests were often visiting for very special occasions. By getting to know each guest during their stay I was able to add a personalised touch to their visit, and was always able to make their stay extra special. That little extra is something I’ve definitely carried into my travel agent life when planning holidays for my clients,” says Melissa.

Two years of extensive European travels further cemented Melissa’s desire to make a career of travel. Returning to Australia, Melissa quickly found a job in the industry and spent the next 10 years honing her skills and knowledge as a travel agent. Melissa’s passion for people and luxury travel saw her build an exceptional base of repeat clientele, many of whom she has created long lasting relationships with.

A love of Australia’s stunning landscapes and one-of-a-kind experiences has seen her drive the Australian coast numerous times, exploring every corner and uncovering hidden gems. But Melissa also has a soft spot for always in fashion Italy, the compelling culture and colour of Vietnam and the jungle-clad beauty of Costa Rica, all countries which made a huge impression on her during her world-wide adventures.

Having returned to the travel industry in 2022 following a hiatus to begin a family, Melissa is excited to liaise with old clients as well as getting to know new ones, and is ready to go the extra mile to put together an itinerary that’s perfect for them, wherever in the world they wish to be.

 “I love finding out what my client’s interests, likes and dislikes are, based on this information I can then research and find the perfect product for them - based not only on my knowledge of a brand or of a destination, but of their personal needs.”
