She says the old quarter of Hoi An is a must-see. “There are local markets on most days. The colourful streets are full of talented tailors who can customise a suit, formal wear, high heels or boots for a fantastic price,” Samantha says. “And you’ve got to eat something from the street stalls - each village has their very own signature spring roll!”

Quite the expert in Asian getaways, Samantha also has some top recommendations for a Thailand escape. Ask her about the great new restaurants adorning Patong Beach and where to find real baby elephants. “The Thai people are so humble, and it’s such an interesting culture,” says Sam. “I love Thailand because there is always so much to do, but at any given time, you can just flop and drop in the beautiful surroundings!”

Though Samantha has her preferred places to visit, she will happily travel anywhere in the world, as she loves it holistically. “Travel keeps you young!” Sam says. “It’s something that can be shared with friends and family, and it leads to lifelong memories.”
